So, yeah, what the title says. There’s gonna be some changes to the launch playlists in The Master Chief Collection.
For starters, the Halo CE playlist won’t be available at launch. 343i said that there are some issues that they need to fix before it launches. Halo CE will still be available in any playlist that it is included in, like Team Slayer, for example. However, it will not have its dedicated playlist at launch. In addition, the Halo CE playlist will be a 2v2 playlist when it is added back into the rotation.
Also, the Team Hardcore playlist will only be using Halo 2 maps at launch. It is supposed to include Halo 3 maps, but they are not fine-tuned for tournament-style play just yet.
So, these will be the playlists available at launch, and what Halo titles can be found in each playlist:
- Team Slayer (Halo CE, H2, H2A, H3)
- Halo Championship Series (the Official Halo eSports playlist, H2A)
- Team Halo 2: Anniversary
- Big Team Battle (Halo CE, H2, H2A, H3, H4)
- Rumble Pit (H2A at launch, more games may be added later)
- Halo 2 Classic
- Halo 3
- Halo 4
- Team Hardcore (H2 at launch, H3 when the maps are ready)
- SWAT (H2, H2A, H3, H4)
We are officially at less than 24 hours until launch!!! Hype levels are reaching critical mass! I know there are some lucky SOBs who already have the game, and all I can say to you is, I’m jelly. Super jelly. Since, I likely won’t be getting the game until Tuesday, unless Amazon decides to ship the game to my house tomorrow. Otherwise, I’ll have to spend much of the day installing the game and the day one patch, which means less MCC time for me….
Oh well. It will be worth the wait, that’s for sure.
